Overall, I have some designer slides from Gucci and Balenciaga for example that are well over $200 and I feel like they just don’t compare to the Yeezy Slides. If you could get the Yeezy Slide on their App, the price is super cool. They release probably once every quarter in a couple of different colorways. But even though it’s such a simple product and made of one piece of material, it was still such a complex process to make this simple shoe. To fill you guys in on the Yeezy Slide if you don’t own a pair for yourself or you don’t know anything about it, essentially, this shoe is one piece of injection-molded EVA foam.
The material on the Slides feels very rubber-like and so you don’t want this strap rubbing on the top of your feet because that might feel uncomfortable throughout the day. Yeezy Slides run very small, so it’s highly recommended to size up. If you normally wear a size 10.5, I definitely recommend you go a half size up to a size 11. And if you have wide feet, you might even need to get a size 12 because, again, Yeezy Slides aren’t available in half sizes. The Yeezy Slides are notorious for having the weirdest sizing ever. I ordered the older slides in a 12, but surprisingly, the size 11 in the Yeezy Slides Azure fits me really well.
Even though I do usually get the size 7, I could go up to the men’s 8 and I think I would be fine because these Slides do run pretty small, especially for people with wide feet like me. I’m a true size 10 slightly on the wider side, I got my Slides in a size 11 and I got to say they fit me perfectly. For me for example, my true to size is a 10.5, and for the Yeezy Slide, I just go a half size up to a size 11 and they fit great. In terms of the Yeezy Slide flax sizing, my suggestion would be to go with your Yeezy size, which is generally a half to a full size up from your true to size (TTS).
But it seems like both these colorways are on the same kind of sizing model. Every shoe release seems to feel a little different and so it might be a bit difficult to find your perfect fit every time.
